How long have you been doing this and why did you become a planner?
I started M&M Elite Events because I truly love meeting people and creating events that hone-in on details. I discovered event planning in college at UMass Dartmouth. I was actively involved in student organizations, especially as President of the Haitian American Student Association. As such, I raised thousands of dollars to enable students to attend an annual national conference in Florida – something never done in the history of club.
Later, while working for Boston University, I had the opportunity to plan events for presidents, ambassadors, and diplomats of foreign countries. This gave me a whole different perspective on customer service. People of position and power expect perfection and it was my job to deliver. I quickly learned to be detail-oriented, address the needs of a host and acquire great listening skills to make sure instructions were not lost in translation. Tolerance and acceptance of ideas are also skills I had to adopt. Listening to the concerns of my clients is essential to relieving the stress, confusion, and anxiety that the planning process may have caused the client up to that point.

Are we going to be able to afford you?
It’s impossible for me to price out your needs without getting a chance to talk to you first. I need to understand your wants, needs, and expectations. Working with a coordinator is an investment, but having an experienced one hold your hand throughout the whole process is worth every penny.
Did you know the average wedding (or event) requires at least eight vendors? Researching, interviewing, and comparing pricing and proposals requires a lot of time and attention to detail. We’ve already done the legwork by building exceptional relationships with exclusive vendors. That saves you time, money and energy. Our commitment to you is that your event will be an unforgettable success. Let’s talk about what that is worth to you.

What type of person benefits the most from your planning services?
M&M Elite Events’ clients are family-oriented and have a strong sense of humor. I enjoy working with all kind of couples and their families. If you have an idea of what you want, but no idea how to make it happen, that’s okay. If you have absolutely no idea, that’s okay too. The ideal client understands that finding the time to compare venues, vendors, and review packages can be next to impossible. They know they are capable of anything but don’t have the time to do everything. They trust me and my expertise to provide them with advice to keep them within budget. In addition, I offer a lot of emotional support and encouragement – delivered humorously and with fun!

Will I lose control of my wedding (or event) if you plan it for me?
When we first meet, we immediately enter into a partnership with you. My promise is that you will receive straight-to-the-point impartial feedback and that you have the final word, always. I will focus on your dream vision and execute tasks with that in mind. Your day of celebration is simply that…your day. We just make it into a reality.

How do we pay?
I accept cash, credit cards via PayPal, and checks. A  30% deposit fee and a signed contract will reserve your special day on my calendar. You have the convenience of monthly payments for the remaining balance. With automatic payment options, you will never have to be bothered with financial matters on the day of your event.

Do you do more than one event in a day?
Absolutely not! In order to give you the undivided attention you deserve, I focus on only one client event per day.
